Margarete was born in Beeville, Texas on September 8, 1925, one of five children: brother, Jake and sisters, Ola Lee, Willie Belle and Betty completing their lively family. She graduated from Beeville High School and fell in love with a handsome WWII veteran, Allen Pyle, marrying him on June 1, 1946.
Allen and Margarete had two sons: Robert (1948) and Ronnie (1951). Margarete lived her life, nurturing those boys and caring for the needs of her mother and friends. For a few years, she was assistant cafeteria manager at Ray High School in Corpus Christi, mainly working to help her sons with college plans.
Margarete’s love for Jesus Christ spilled over on everyone she met! She and Allen actively served Christ at Parkdale Baptist Church (now Community of Faith Church). After he retired in 1971, they started a ministry of nondenominational church services at Vallecito RV Resort in Durango, Colorado, where they spent six months of every year. Her positive attitude and love for others drew people to want to know the source of her joy and strength---JESUS!
Margarete’s sweet spirit endeared her to everyone who met her and left her family and friends with precious memories of a life filled to overflowing with Jesus’ love. Survivors include sons: Robert (Judy) Pyle, and Ronnie (Linda) Pyle; grandchildren: Blake (Kristen) Pyle, Brady (Jennifer) Pyle, Rhonda (Nathan) Pyle-Ford; six great-grandchildren: Taylor, Mikaela, Raegan, Katy, Cody and Tanner Pyle; and her sister, Betty Trafton in Missouri City, Texas.
Family visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a short funeral celebration of Margarete’s life at 2:00 pm on the same day at Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, friends can donate to their local church or favorite charity in Margarete’s memory.
