Maria Bertha Alaniz, age 82 passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 with her loving family by her side.
She was born on October 13, 1929 in Realitos, Texas to the late Lorenzo and Elvira Martinez.
Bertha is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cruz H. Alaniz; one brother, Ruben Martinez, sister-in-law, Trini Martinez.
Bertha leaves behind her family to cherish her memories, her children, Eddie (Rosie) Alaniz, Dolores Medina, Debra (Francisco) Martinez, Cruz Hector (Debbie) Alaniz, Jr.; eight grandchildren who she loved and cared for with great tenderness and affection, and they are, Eddie Jr., Eric, Esteban, Alyssa, Briana, Clarisa, Diego, and Marisol; and five very special nieces and nephews, Virita, David, Nora, Norma, and Ruben Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
