Maria R. Rodriguez Duran

Maria R. Duran, our loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully at her home on December 2, 2015. She was 96 years old. She was born August 3, 1919 in Pettus, TX to Tomas and Epifania G. Rodriguez. She was an active member of the Greenwood Senior Center and site council. She was the winner of many contests. Through all her travels she had a full and active life. She was loved by all family and friends that she touched deeply and will be dearly missed.

She leaves behind her husband of 65 years, John Duran and her loving daughter, Maria Luz Sanchez; her sisters, Eva Gutierrez of Arlington, TX and Julia (Gilbert) Arguijo of Beeville, TX; her brother, Adan Rodriguez of Kenner, TX.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 p.m.
