She is survived by her husband, Juan Hernandez, her children; Mary Ester and Michelle Hernandez, Juan Manuel Hernandez, Ruben and Rene Escochea, sister; Josie Vela, brothers; Lupe Vela, Victor Vela and Joe Vela all from Corpus Christi, Texas. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel, 549 Cheyenne Street, on Sunday, November 1, 2015 with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel with a burial to follow at Edroy Cemetery in Edroy, Texas.
