Maria Inez Valenzuela

Maria Inez “Mary” Valenzuela, 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022 at a local hospital after a short illness with her family by her side. She was born on September 28th, 1958 in Corpus Christi to Inez Carmen Valenzuela and Porfirio Valenzuela.

She worked as a cook with The State School and Roy Miller High School for several years. Her passion was cooking, country music and collecting Donnie & Marie Osmond memorabilia. Ms. Valenzuela was a devoted sister and aunt and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her mom, dad and several siblings. She is survived by her brother, Johnny (Terri) Valenzuela of Houston, Texas; sister, Elodia Cruz of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Yolanda Valenzuela and Janie Valenzuela and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Roger Deases, Raymond Deases , Mario Valenzuela, Carlos Valenzuela, Christian Gallegos, Bryan Valenzuela.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel, 549 Cheyenne St. on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 11:00 am with Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church, 1101 Bloomington St. at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche St.
