Marie D. Esparaza entered eternal rest with the Lord on May 5, 2026, at the early age of 65. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on June 26, 1960, to mother, Soila De La Rosa. Since she was young, Mary had a fiery spirit, a strong heart, and a personality that could never be ignored. Just ask her cousins. She lived boldly, loved fiercely, and always stood up for herself and for the people she cared about, no matter what the circumstances were.
Mary was well-known for being opinionated and strong-willed, but everything she did came from a place of love and loyalty. She loved deeply, protected fiercely, and made sure the people around her always knew where she stood. Mary enjoyed playing cards and taking trips to the casino, where she loved playing slots and poker. At home, she enjoyed relaxing with her favorite shows, Dr. Phil and Judge Judy. She was happy being in the comfort of her own space drinking Coke and enjoying a lengua taco. She enjoyed Country and Tejano music, crawfish, and would always find joy when the family was around.
Mary was famous for pork chops, fried fish, and homemade salsa; every family member seemed to have their own special dish they loved most. Her cooking was one of the many ways she showed her love.
Above all, Mary loved her family and grandchildren deeply. They were the center of her world, and she took pride in loving and supporting them in every way she could.
Mary will be reunited in heaven with her husband, Robert Esparza; mother, Soila De La Rosa; grandparents, Dolores and Andres De La Rosa.
Her spirit will live on in the family she cherished and the memories they will hold forever. She is survived by her children, Soila, J.R. (Erica), and Bobby (Yaneth); sister, Angelica (Elijio); grandchildren, Brandon (Viviana), Kyle (K’Lynn), Jazmine, Jennifer, Jeremy, Mariah, Noah, Grayson, Ingrid, and Little Bobby. Great-grandchildren, Amelia, Matthew, Nova, Geneva, Gianna; Tia Lela; cousins, Veronica (Angelo) , Raul, Henry (Becky), Andy, Jesse; nieces, Velma (Felix) and Jessica (Raphael); nephew, Roy (Jamai) and countless other extended family members.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 549 Cheyenne, Corpus Christi, TX 78405, US, on May 16, 2026, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at Funeraria Del Angel at 3:00 pm on May 16, 2026.
