

Born on November 8, 1968, in Corpus Christi, Mario was the son of Ruben Garza Landin and Velia Garza Landin. He graduated from Richard King High School in 1987 and went on to earn an Associate Degree in Electronics from Del Mar College in 1989.
Mario married the love of his life, Noelia, on October 8, 1993. Together they shared 32 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and family.
He worked for Horton Automatics for 35 years, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, Mario enjoyed the simple pleasures in life—fishing, barbecuing, taking walks with his dog, Chemo, and watching his favorite team, the Chicago Bulls. He also had a fondness for a good laugh, whether it came from joking with his family or watching classic episodes of The Three Stooges.
Family was at the heart of Mario’s life. Some of the best memories were made during times spent together, sharing stories, meals, and laughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Velia Landin and niece, Irene Lorraine Landin.
Mario is survived by his beloved wife, Noelia Landin; and his siblings: Albert Landin, Adolfo (Georgina) Landin, Alvaro Landin, Amaro (Sharon) Landin, Joel Landin, Rosario (Vidal) Mendoza, and Lorena (Matt) Kreft.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Cancer Center of Corpus Christi, MD Anderson in Houston, and Angel Bright Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Mario’s final journey.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Mario will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415 with a Holy Rosary from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A rite of committal and entombment will occur Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
