Mario Alberto Sanchez

Mario Alberto Sanchez passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 77. He was born on March 19, 1949, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Gilberto Sanchez and Carolina Perez. He graduated from Moody High School in 1969.

In 1971, Mario married the love of his life, Graciela (Grace), and together they shared 54 years of devoted marriage. Their union was blessed with three daughters and one son, whom they raised with love and dedication.

Mario is survived by his beloved wife, Graciela Sanchez; his daughters, Melinda and Michelle; and his son, Michael. He is also survived by his siblings Rachel, Miguel, Joe, Robert, Ruben, Becky, Linda, Maria Luisa, and Rosario, along with numerous nieces and nephews—Jimmy, Candy, Misty, Eric, Jaclyn, and Janelle—and a large extended family who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Corina; his parents, Gilberto and Carolina; his aunt, Ruby; and his mother, Luisa.

Mario was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. A skilled welder by trade, he was truly a jack of all trades and took pride in working with his hands. He loved spending time outdoors, whether tending to the yard or working in his garage. Known for his creativity, he had a unique ability to fix just about anything. Mario expressed his love through playful teasing—if he teased you, it meant he cared deeply. He had a wonderful sense of humor, could find laughter in any situation, and had a special talent for embellishing stories that brought joy to those around him.

Mario dedicated his life to serving Jehovah beginning in 1959 at the age of 10. In 2018, he was appointed as a ministerial servant. He found great joy in the ministry and warmly welcoming others to the Kingdom Hall. For over 40 years, he faithfully attended the Brawner Kingdom Hall, where he also contributed his craftsmanship by creating the wrought iron bars and gate that stood for many years.

Mario will be remembered for his faith, his humor, his hardworking spirit, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
