Marion Fred Newkirk, 73, passed away on March 9, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on February 5, 1948 in Harlingen, Texas.

Marion is preceded in death by his parents, Fred William Newkirk and Florene Faye Newkirk and one brother, Bobby Newkirk.

He is survived by his survived by his loving wife, Kathy Burkham Newkirk; Sister, Judy Worsham and husband, Steve; Daughters, Carla Newkirk and husband, Vince; Lori Newkirk, Tracy Bush and husband, Paul; and Stacy Wilson and husband, James.

He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren; Aunt, Maxine Grant; Uncle, Bill Newkirk; numerous cousins; and 3 nephews. Marion will be missed by his sisters: Gladys Green and husband David Green and Pam Burkham and husband Roy Burkham, Jr.

Marion proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam era and worked for Big Three Air Liquide for 28 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church of Corpus Christi or Davita Dialysis Center of Corpus Christi.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service led by Reverend Rusty Wright at 2:00 PM.
