

Marjorie “Margie” Emeline Garcia passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family at her side on Monday at the age of 77. She was born in Raymondville, Texas on November 13, 1932 to Edward Bohls Sr. and Beatrice Perez Bohls. In 1947 she met the love of her life, Jaime Garcia, at a softball game and seven years later the two were married. In August of 1964, at the age of 32, Margie moved with her family to Corpus Christi where they raised their four children Michael, Edith, David and Anna. She was married to Jaime for 54 loving years. Margie retired from CCISD food services after 25 years at Kostoryz and Schanen Elementary schools. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, but her real joy was the company of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Bohls Sr., mother, Beatrice Perez Bohls and brother, Edward Bohls Jr. Margie is survived by her husband Jaime, her children Michael H. Garcia of League City, TX, Edith Rose (Ernie) Villarreal of Corpus Christi, David D. (Jan) Garcia of Loxahatchee, Florida, and Anna Marie (Brooks) Rowell of Pflugerville, Texas, her sister Rose Marie Bohls (Humberto) Tijerina of Corpus Christi, 11 grandchildren and two nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, 4901 Everhart Road with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. from Cage-Mills on Saturday, May 29, 2010 for the funeral mass being celebrated at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic with interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park. The family will host a luncheon between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm in the Parish Hall at OLPH.
