

Mark Antony Gonzales, age 43, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024. A lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Mark was born on April 10, 1981, to parents, Doroteo and Rebecca Gonzales.
Mark graduated from Richard King High School in 1999. He went on to graduate from Del Mar College in 2005 with his Associate’s Degree in Radio and TV. He married his beloved wife Miranda on August 6, 2022, in Mathis, Texas. Together, they shared two beautiful daughters, Cassidy and Allison.
Mark worked at Channel 3 News as a Newscast Director until 2024. He spent nearly 20 years directing newscasts for 3News at 5, 6, 10, and 3News weekends and Domingo Live. Mark’s favorite part of the job was directing Tejano bands live every Sunday on Domingo Live!.
Mark was known as an avid sports enthusiast who rooted for his favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. However, his biggest passion in life was music. He spent his life going to numerous concerts and music festivals. He wasn’t picky and listened to music of every type, from Country to Tejano and even Ska. He also loved watching WWE Wrestling.
Mark was always the life of the party. He loved doing magic tricks and character impressions for his daughters. His girls also loved joining him in the kitchen to make dinner. He loved to spend time with his girls any moment he had.
Mark was most known by his family and friends for being a loving and devoted husband and father, a great brother, and friend. His laugh and sense of humor was known to bring life and laughter to any room. Mark always said the best day of his life was his wedding day. He also used to say that being a father and husband made his life complete. He fought tirelessly to stay around as long as he could to be there for his girls.
Mark is reunited with his father, Doroteo Gonzales. He leaves his memories to his beloved wife of five years, Miranda Lindley-Gonzales; mother, Rebecca Gonzales; children, Cassidy and Allison Schumacher; brother, Clint Gonzales; and numerous extended family.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the transplant team at Houston Methodist Hospital who did everything in their power to find Mark a perfect match.
