Marta Anna Guevara

Marta Anna Guevara, 64 years old, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on February 14, 2025. Marta was born in Pensacola, Florida, on May 11, 1960, to Gilberto Guevara and Rosa Galindo Guevara.

Marta graduated from Escambia High School in Pensacola in the year 1978. She went on to graduate from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas, and received her associate’s degree. Marta went on to do work for Walmart and had a career in management until her retirement in February of 2024.

Marta was a woman of wit. She will be fondly remembered for her love of animals and her beautiful personality. Anyone who knew Marta would tell you how much she loved her beloved pups, Betty and Romeo; they were always her top priority! Her family and friends will continue sharing her many quotes and words of wisdom including, “Never give up!”

Marta is reunited with her father, Gilbert Guevara; mother, Rosa Galindo Guevara; and brother, Ricardo Guevara. She leaves her memories to her furry children, Betty and Romeo; siblings, Amanda Rocha, Alma Guevara, and Linda (Warren) Kelly; two nieces; four nephews; Godchildren; best friend, Janie Garza; as well as numerous members of extended family and friends.

Marta’s sisters would like to offer a special thanks to Janie Garza, Marta’s very best friend, who has never left her side. Janie was always there in Marta’s many times of need.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 8PM on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where a Holy Rosary will be recited that same evening at 7 PM. A Funeral Service will begin at 9 AM on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Rite of Committal and Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
