Mary C. Barrera, 94, passed away to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, on November 19, 2019, in Corpus Christi, Texas, surrounded by family who loved her dearly.
She was born on August 27, 1925, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Antonio and Maria Cirilo. Mary was married to her late husband Thomas V. Barrera for 72 years and together parented 13 children. Mary enjoyed listening to music, talking with her family and friends, had a great sense of humor and was proud of her Native American heritage.
Mary was a devout Catholic and active in the ministries by participating as a Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the Guadalupanas. Mary also raised her children in the Catholic faith and had a special place in her heart for the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Padre Pio.
In summary, Mary was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Fond memories of and feelings for our mother will always linger in our hearts and minds until the day we are reunited to be with Jesus.

I will always remember a strong woman who always put her family first. A woman who was proud of her heritage and loved everyone she met. When you went to Mrs B's house she always offered a cup of coffee and a place to sit and chat for a while and you always left with a kiss and her "bendiciones." Such a wonderful woman surely sits at the right hand of The Father.
