Maryscella C. Sandoval, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away December 3, 2025, in Bexar County. Maryscella was born August 28, 1936 to Juan Cruz and Leonor Lara Cruz of Monterrey, Mexico. She moved to Corpus Christi, Texas with her family at the age of five years old. Maryscella accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at a very young age and was active in church and mission work all her life. Mom married the love of her life at the age of 18 and both Mom (and Dad) went to Rio Grande Bible Institute in Edinburg, Texas. After Bible School, the Lord led them into full time ministry at Garcia’s Ranch Baptist Church in Rio Grande City, where they served for 18 years. They also started and built three churches in Mexico.
After Mom (and Dad) returned from the mission field, they moved back to Corpus Christi, Texas, where Mom went to work for the Corpus Christi Independent School District driving school buses for special needs children, which she loved doing. Her and Daddy joined Segunda Iglesia Bautista where Mom sang in the choir and was active in church.
Survivors include her daughters, Lluviscela Pierce (Keith), Rhoda Mountfield (Rick), Rhonda Floyd (Lee), Elizabeth Kane, and son Noah Sandoval, along with grandchildren, Miriam Rodriguez, Micah Floyd (Savannah) and Megan Pease (Jordan), and many other relatives and close friends.
