Michael retired from Citgo Refinery after 36 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and the outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his father, O.C. Burkhart and mother, Bobbye Burkhart; adopted son, John Burkhart.
He is survived by his son, Mitchell T. (Christine) Burkhart; adopted son, Joseph Lewis Burkhart; grandchildren, Morgan L. Winterrowd, Emily Faye Burkhart and Marshall Travis Burkhart.
Memorial Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, May 5, 2023 beginning at 12:30 PM with a Memorial Service to begin at 2:00 PM. Inurnment will be private.
