Michael M. McDonough

He married Barbara Preddy on March 17, 1986. Mike worked in the Telephone Industry for Western Electric/AT&T, and retired after 34 years.

He was a member and Past-President of the Fraternal Order of the Eagle Lodge, Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, South Texas Trail Riders and Founder and Past-President of the Coastal Bend Dart Association. He had a passion for farming, ranching, riding horses, playing darts and caring for animals.

He is preceded in death by his father, Patrick McDonough; mother, Vera Gallagher; son, Michael “Mick” McDonough; sister, Miriam Hendricks and brother, Patrick McDonough.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara McDonough and children, Kelly McDonough, Elizabeth (Fred) Frederick and JC McDonough; step-children, Veronica (Bryan) McDonough, Anthony (Kristi) David and Ava David.

He will be lovingly missed by his grandchildren, Katrina McDonough, Shawn (Mark) Elizondo, Coleman Frederick, Chas (Tiffany) Frederick and Kenneth (Melanie) Schroeder; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Jillian Frederick and Tony, Alex and Adrian Elizondo; brother, Daniel (Dolly) McDonough.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM with Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
