Mike Michael Mesa Jr.

A sophomore at Roy Miller High School, Mike was a bright and thoughtful young man who touched the lives of many. He loved video games, soccer, and boxing, and enjoyed listening to music. He especially cherished spending time with his family, whether it was playing trivia together, having long heartfelt conversations with his sisters, or simply being present with those he loved. Mike was known for taking pictures of himself dressing up and expressing his personality and creativity. He enjoyed participating in Church Plays and was looking forward to being re-baptized at the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

A hard worker at heart, Mike was excited and eager to begin his first job when he turned 16. He was sweet, kind, and naturally protective of those around him. Quietly observant, Mike often listened more than he spoke, taking in conversations with care and thoughtfulness. His faith was important to him, and he found comfort in prayer, especially to Saint Jude.

Mike was preceded in death by his grandmas, Janie Bustamante and Pauline Deleon; aunt, Yolanda Mesa; uncles, Frank Mendoza, Rumaldo Mesa Sr., and Raul Mesa Jr.

He is survived by his loving parents, Esperanza and Mike Mesa; his grandfather, Dario Bustamante; his brothers, Ricky, Frank, and Juan Garza; and his sisters, Miley and Pauline Mesa.

The family would like to extend special thanks to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, his girlfriend Matty Gonzalez, grandpa Dario Bustamante, Katherine Perez, and Deacon Adrian for their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

The family would also like to sincerely thank everyone who has reached out with love, prayers, donations, and acts of kindness. Your support has brought comfort to their hearts. and they are forever grateful for the compassion you all have shown at this difficult time.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, located at 549 Cheyenne, Corpus Christi, TX 78405, on January 13, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. A Holy Rosary service will also take place at Funeraria del Angel Corpus Christi at the same address on January 13, 2026, starting at 7:00 pm.

The Funeral Mass is scheduled for January 14, 2026, at 10:30 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 710 S 19th St, Corpus Christi, TX 78405.

The committal service will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, located at 2731 Comanche St, Corpus Christi, TX 78408, on January 14, 2026, at 11:30 am.

Mike’s gentle spirit, loving heart, and quiet strength will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
