A proud graduate of San Isidro High School, Minerva was known for her love of basketball and her vibrant giving spirit. In her younger years, she dedicated herself to mission work in Mexico, driven by her deep faith and love for Jesus—a love she spoke of often and lived out daily.
Minerva began her career in the medical field but later shifted her focus to caring for her family, working in residential and commercial cleaning to support them. Her devotion to her children and grandchildren was unwavering, she found joy in cooking for family gatherings, special occasions, and anyone in need of a warm meal. Her hands were always busy in the garden or serving wherever help was needed at her local church.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Martin V. Garza Sr.; son, Martin Garza Jr.; brother, Guillermo Villarreal (Maria) and her parents, Tomas and Maria Villarreal.
Minerva is survived by her loving daughters, Monica (Eddie) Guzman and Maida (Mark) Mills; her cherished grandchildren, Jordyn (Josh), Levi (Sadie), Tyler, Rylee, Noah, Josiah, and Brooklyn; and great-grandchildren Kaidon, Parker, Minerva, and Nova. She is also survived by her brother, Ramiro Villarreal (Hilda), along with countless friends and extended family who were touched by her kindness and warmth.
