Remember our friendship, started at the age of 12, same school, same class, same bench, same dreams: to be construction engineers, leave Rumania and to work together. As teen-agers, remember the parties in my apt. the trips to the mountain, Delta and having fun. I owe you a lot: mathematics, engineering, you taught me to swim, you convinced me and Smaranda to come to Toronto, after 8 years in Belgium. Life separated us, you went different directions, countries, continents; the last years we spoke only few times...
Let my thoughts be with you, where you are, the other side, paving the your road for a sweet and peaceful sleep.

When we met 50 years ago we did not know how life will turn out to be for either one of us.Then we were young, in love , with lots of hopes and dreams and our married life was one of the happiest.Challenges and obstacles were always a good part of our life, especially after emigrating to Canada but for many years we kept our faith in our love and affection we had for each other. But after 25 years we decided to end our marriage, a very sad end to a fairytale.
Today my heart is very heavy and sad to know that the man I have known almost all my life has passed away so soon . But he gave me a gift, a wonderful proof of our love:our beautiful daughter Corina! He loved her  and adored her with all his heart,and in spite of their stormy relationship through the years, she loved him too.Dear Mircea I have forgiven you long time ago for all the pains and sufferings that we  went through. All I want to remember is your laugh,great sense of humor, your generous nature,what a great dancer you were.how you loved to devour big cakes and most of all how much you have protected and loved us.God bless you and rest in peace

Mircea was very dear to us. He was one of us. He was part of the first group of immigrants from Romania in our group in the early 70's. That experience bonded us and our bond is as strong as when we first came to Toronto. 

Mircea loved Corina with a passion. He did everything with a passion but above all, he loved Corina. I'm glad he was part of her wedding.

God rest his soul.
