Miriam E. Miller was a woman of strong faith, a generous heart, and a presence that could not be overlooked. She entered into her eternal rest in the Lord’s arms on March 18, 2026 at the age of 92. She was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on April 21, 1933 to parents, Alice Barwise and Robert Moore.
Deeply rooted in her church community, Miriam loved God with her whole heart and never hesitated to share that love with others. She was actively involved in Bible study and was always ready to step in wherever she saw a need. If something needed to be done, Miriam didn’t wait—she took action. Her faith guided her life, and her actions reflected the kindness and compassion she carried within.
Miriam was known for her generous and loving nature. She had a way of making family wherever she went, building connections and staying involved in the lives of those around her. She kept up with everyone, always checking in and making sure things were going well. Miriam had a personality that was both strong and full of warmth. She could be a little stubborn at times, but that same determination was part of what made her so devoted to her family, her faith, and her purpose in life.
She had many joys in life. Miriam loved her puppy, Precious, dearly and found comfort and companionship in her. She enjoyed working on puzzles, watching wrestling and expressing herself through her style. She loved to dress up and took pride in making sure her jewelry always matched her outfit just right. She also had a special love for butterflies, which reflected her gentle and hopeful spirit.
Miriam dedicated much of her life to education, working as a teacher and shaping the lives of many students over the years. She earned her master’s degree and had a lifelong passion for learning. She believed in growing, improving, and never letting anything stand in the way of gaining knowledge.
She will be reunited in heaven with her son, Charles “Chuck” Owen Miller Jr; sisters, Patricia Moore Frankie, Dorthea Blount and Roberta Conelius; brothers, John Moore and Joseph Moore, as well as Charles Miller Sr., and Ernest Hoelscher with whom she shared different chapters of her life.
Miriam’s memory will forever live in her sister, Joan Wenetschlaeger; special friends, Oakley and Joseph Cortez and their daughters, Ayla, and Joss. Cousin, Elsie Zahn; step-children, Kenny Miller and Melissa Robinette (Adam), step-grandchildren, Avery Strait, Jenna Robinette, and Charlotte Robinette, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Her legacy lives on in the countless people she cared for, taught, and loved.
