Nicholas Taylor Fuentes (Nick), 28, of Corpus Christi, passed away on December 7, 2022 peacefully in his sleep. Nicholas was born on December 1, 1994, son of Gonzalo and Irma Fuentes of Corpus Christi, Texas. Nicholas is a 2012 graduate of Tuloso-Midway High School.
Nicholas loved music, traveling, and most of all, family. As a selfless young man, with an innocent heart it brought him joy to extend a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on or his undivided attention to lend a sympathetic ear. Nick was intrigued by new experiences and was up for almost anything unless it included foods that weren’t already Nick approved. He was a very picky eater and would curl his nose in laughter as he watched others try foods that were not part of his pre-selected food groups. He followed his passion for criminal justice with the Nueces County Sheriff’s department as a Corrections Officer in which he wore his uniform proudly alongside his extended family of brothers and sisters in blue.
Nicholas is survived by his parents, Gonzalo and Irma Fuentes, his siblings, Steve (Jessica) Fuentes, Lance (Desiree) Fuentes, Kimberly (Michael) Nelson, and Jesse Chavez. His nieces and nephews, Amaya, Brianna, Alexis, Kaylob, Kayla, Brason, Aleah, Bethany and Brenden whom made his heart full with their laughter and smiles. He also has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors and close friends.
