Norma married the love of her life Antonio Juarez and shared 37 memorable years together. They spent their younger years having fun, hanging out with friends and their later years raising their 5 children and 13 grandchildren.
Norma worked as a bus driver for the Special Ed department for CCISD for over 20 years. There she made many lifelong friendships and stayed in touch with them even after leaving the buses. Norma had a heart of gold. She never said no when it came to helping others. If there was a will there was a way and she was going to make it happen! She cared deeply for all her family, her top priority was keeping a strong bond amongst them all. She celebrated everything from birthdays to holidays and her kids' smallest and largest accomplishments. Norma loved the presence of her family from her kids and grandkids to her cousins, brothers and sister in-laws. With a pina colada in her hand she could plan any celebration and it was not a party if she didn't have a camera in your face or going facebook live.
Norma had many hobbies but baking and cooking was her favorite. She was always trying new cake recipes and called all her family and friends to pick up a slice. Another one of everyone's favorites was her famous potato salad and enchilada casserole. She loved listening to her oldies and Spanish music, especially her favorite and other "love of her life" as she would say Elvis Presley. Norma's sense of humor will always be remembered, she always knew how to put a smile on your face.
Norma is preceded in death by her Parents Oscar F. Benavides, Alicia A. Benavides. Brother Oscar Benavides Jr. and Mother in law Ramona Periman,
She is survived by her husband Antonio Juarez of 37 years and children Raymond Villarreal Jr.(Loretta), Randy Villarreal (Audrey), Erik Juarez, Rita Juarez (Rick) and Frank Juarez (Dionne) grandchildren Victoria, Lorene, Anthony, Jacob, Joseph, Alyssa, Desi, Jasell, Emma, Jaelyn, OJ, Raine and great grandson Drayson.
