Ofelia Gutierrez

She was born in Reynosa, Tamps., Mexico on February 22, 1925. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great-grandmother whom will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.

Ofelia is preceded in death by husband, Domingo Gutierrez; daughter, Ernestina Garcia and daughter-in-law, Teresa Gutierrez; brothers, Manuel Garza , and Rodolfo Garza; sisters, Herminia Perez, Silvestre Requenez and Santos Garcia.

She leaves behind her family to cherish her memories, daughter, Maria Ofelia Rodriguez; four sons, Domingo Gutierrez (Benilde), Reynaldo Gutierrez (Gerry), Ramiro Gutierrez, Joe Louis Gutierrez; brother, Leonel Garza; sister, Emma Garza; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. And a special ex-daughter-in-law, Norma Gutierrez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
