Olivia V. Dominguez

Our Family is deeply saddened by the passing of our mother, Olivia V. Dominguez, 93, who passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Del Rio, Texas and moved to Corpus Christi at an early age. She accepted the Lord as her Savior in the early 60’s and devoted the rest of her life loving the Lord, spreading His Word and doing the Lord’s work.

She is preceded in death by her son, Leon Abelardo Alva; her parents, Leon and Beatriz Valdez; sisters, Teofila Ramos, Oralia Villaseñor, Victoria Gonzalez; brothers, Richard Valdez, Henry Valdez, and Raymond Valdez.

Olivia leaves behind her family to cherish her loving memories; her children, Luis Alva Jr. (Susan), Deborah Dominguez (George Picha Jr.), Antonio Fuertez Jr. (Jean), Gustavo Gonzalez (Mirta) and Gloria Holt; her grandchildren, Aaron Dominguez, America Alva-Rubio, Melissa Alva, Conrad Alva, Gabriel Alva, Caleb Alva, Sarah Alva, Cathie Leal, Cyndie Sledge, Mark Gonzalez, James Holt and Cathy Fuertez-Balboa; numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Guadalupe Botello (Agapito) and Olga Salinas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Conrad, Aaron, Gabriel, Caleb and her nephews Richard Valdez, Jr. and Ray Botello.
