It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Olivia C. Marquez, age 68, of Corpus Christi, Texas, on October 10, 2026. Olivia was born on June 30, 1958, in Sinton, Texas, and was a proud graduate of Miller High School.
On August 24, 1975, Olivia married Leandro Morales Marquez in Corpus Christi, Texas. Together, they shared a life filled with family, love, and the many memories that make a lifetime special.
Olivia devoted her career to childcare and teaching assistance, working with Nueces County Community Action Agency. She brought patience, kindness, and a caring spirit to her work, touching the lives of the children and families she served. Her willingness to help others reflected the kind of person she was—someone who cared deeply and gave from the heart.
Olivia will be remembered for her loving heart and for always being there when someone needed a helping hand. She had a special way of making others feel cared for, and her kindness left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her. She found happiness in life's simple pleasures, especially spending time with family and friends. She also loved playing bingo, enjoying game rooms, Bunko, Novelas and trade center. These little joys, along with the moments she shared with the people she loved, became treasured parts of her life.
Above all, Olivia's legacy is one of love, compassion, and generosity. She gave of herself freely and cared for others in ways both big and small. The memories she created, the kindness she showed, and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
Olivia was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Posas and Dora Garza; Patricia Velasquez and Cynthia Garza; Sammy Possas and Manuel Possas III; and other beloved family members who will always hold a special place in her family's memories.
Those left to cherish Olivia's memory include her children, Leandro Marquez, Jr., Juan Manuel Marquez, Roland David Marquez Sr., and Lucinda Pascarella, along with the many family members who loved her dearly and whose lives were made more meaningful by having her in them.
Her memory will also live on through her cherished grandchildren: Roland Alexa Marquez, Mason Marquez, Mikey Pascarella, Chance Pascarella, Amenda Pinardi (Adam Pinardi), AJ Evans, Austin Pinardi, Isabella Pinardi, Jazmin Rae Cauazos (Georgio Days and Neenah Rae Days), Monique Izabella Marquez (Tony Gonzalez), Aaliyah Monique Perez (Angel Perez), and Kaeli Jordan Marquez. Each of them is part of the family she loved, and the love she gave will continue to be carried forward through the generations.
Olivia's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and caregivers at Cimarron Place Nursing Home and Hospice for the kindness, compassion, and loving care they provided. Their support and dedication brought comfort to Olivia and her family during a difficult time, and their care will always be remembered with appreciation.
Olivia leaves behind extended family, dear friends, and many others who will continue to hold her close in their hearts. Although her presence will be deeply missed, the memories made with her will remain a source of comfort, bringing smiles through the tears and reminding those who loved her of the special place she will always hold in their lives.
As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that love does not end with a final farewell. Olivia's life was a gift to those who knew her, and her gentle spirit, caring heart, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the stories shared, the memories treasured, and the generations that follow.
Rest peacefully, Olivia. May you be surrounded by the same love you gave so freely throughout your life. You will forever be loved, forever be missed, and never be forgotten.
