We met Billy as members of the Corpus Christi YMCA and saw him regularly during his workouts at the gym. He often spoke highly of his family and co-workers. In fact, I don't believe I ever heard him utter an unkind word about anyone. Billy always brandished a bright smile and positive attitude - even in the midst of his battle with illness, which he waged with courage and dignity.

To Billy's family: Please accept our most sincere condolences on his passing. There are people, many of whom you may never know, who thought very highly of him. We will certainly miss him over at the YMCA.

Descanse en paz.

From the moment I met Billy at Bay Area Medical Center in the early 90's, we struck up a great friendship. This included walks to the old Oyster Bar for lunch and shared many laughs and stories along the way. That laugh of his was enough to make you smile. I thank God for our friendship. Billy lives pain free now and nothing can stop him now. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of working with Billy at Memorial for 14 years and then at Shoreline the last couple of years. Billy was the first person I would see walking in through the doors at work. His smile would always brighten my day and he always knew when I needed a hug. Billy, I hope you know how much you were appreciated and loved. Until we meet again, rest easy my friend.
