Pablo M. Martinez Jr., age 78, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on December 7, 2025. He was born on April 5, 1947, in Corpus Christi, where he spent most of his life and built a legacy rooted in faith, family, and service.
Pablo was a proud graduate of Roy Miller High School. He devoted his working years to a career as a machinist, later advancing into quality control inspection, where he was known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail. He was employed with CCAD, earning the respect of coworkers and supervisors alike.
On July 21, 1967, Pablo married the love of his life, Adelfa M. Martinez, in Corpus Christi. Their marriage of 58 years was a true partnership, marked by devotion, laughter, and unwavering love.
Pablo was a United States Army Veteran, serving honorably from 1967 to 1969. He was also a faithful member of New Anointing Pentecostal Church in Robstown, Texas, where his faith guided his life and interactions with others.
Pablo found joy in life’s simple pleasures—He loved fishing, planting, spending time with loved ones and friends, taking walks at the mall, HEB, Walmart or the new Cole Park Pier. He spent time taking care of his loving wife, enjoyed spending time with great grandchildren as well as all the families' children. He enjoyed watching football, the Dallas Cowboys.
He always had plenty of advice and a strong discernment as well as all the right words to tell anyone. He loved to play around and joke with everyone. He enjoyed cooking shit on a shingle (SOS); chicken salad, chile beans and beef stew. He loved to attend all birthday parties and gatherings. He also loved to pray for anyone he would cross paths with.
Pablo was most known for being a great man, father, and husband, and for creating lasting memories—especially getaways with his granddaughters to anywhere he could go.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pablo Martinez Sr.; mother, Eva Martinez; and sister, Noemi Ramirez.
He is survived by his loving wife, Adelfa M. Martinez; his children, Darlene Denise Kawalski (Frank Martin Kawalski), Paul Derek Martinez (Ashley M. Linan Martinez); his brothers, David M. Martinez, Bernabe Martinez (Flora Martinez), and Ismael Martinez (Lidia Martinez); his grandchildren, Sabrina Nicole Martinez (Johnnessa Martinez), Deliza Katrina Martinez (Romel Gerardo Davila), Aaron Lionel Rodriguez, Alexis Marie Rodriguez; Great grandchildren, Keliza Raylnn Deleon, Remiel Gerardo Davila, Royce Meziah Davila.
The family extends special thanks to Erica L. Luna (Nurse), Natalie Valdez of Neuro ICU, and Pastors Dora and George Gonzalez III for their care, compassion, and support.
Pablo M. Martinez Jr. will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, faith, humor, and unwavering love for his family.
A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, located at 4901 Everhart Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78411. The visitation is scheduled for December 16, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The funeral service will be held on December 17, 2025, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, located at 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.
