Patricia "Patty" Elder Cook

Patricia “Patty” Ann Elder Cook was called home by our Heavenly Father on September 21, 2012 at the age of 68, surrounded by her loving family in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on December 31, 1943 in Pasadena, Texas. Patty grew up in Flour Bluff where she graduated from Flour Bluff High School in 1962 as a proud hustling Hornet where she played basketball, tennis and was a cheerleader.

She is survived by her parents, Houston Kelly and Ima Maxine Lyons of Flour Bluff; siblings, James “Eddie” (Carol) Elder of Santa Fe, Roddy Ray Gadeberg of Illinois, Preston Kelly (Audrey) Lyons of Flour Bluff; sons, Mitchell Jr. (Debra) Smith of Corpus Christi, Brian Kevin (Rosi) Smith of Houston; grandchildren, Ryan (Tanna) Smith and Kyle Smith of Corpus Christi, Kayleigh Smith and Aly Smith of Houston; great-grandchild, Brayden Smith.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cage Mills funeral Directors Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Duncan Cemetery in Corpus Christi (Flour Bluff), with Greg Blankenship officiating.
