Paul Wesley Martin went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2012 after a long illness. Paul was born in San Diego, California on August 29, 1951. Paul is preceded in death by his father, Paul Y. Martin, Sister Linda M. Peters and Granddaughter Zoey Martin. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Karen (Kem) Martin, their two sons David A. Martin (Char-mae) and John P. Martin (Whitney). Mother Vera Martin, Sisters Patricia Bratu (Barry), Elizabeth Emmons, and Liz Hawkins, and Brother Phillip E. Martin (Denise). Grandchildren Zemarie Martin, Riley Martin, Mason Martin, and numerous nephews, nieces and grand nieces & nephews. He will be missed by family, friends, and anyone he would talk to. He was always the first to lighten up anyone’s day, with a joke or a statement. He worked in the Oil field industry after his military service, and later went back to his love of aviation from his military training on aircraft. He was a Marine and was so proud of his service for his country that he loved. In 1991 he helped the Kuwait Air Force in Desert Shield with their aircraft support team. He went to Rice University to get his A/P license in Houston, Texas, then came back to Corpus Christi and worked in private aviation with McTurbine Industry since 1996, working with jet helicopter engines until he became disabled due to his illness in 2010. He also had a life long love of music and playing the guitar. Service will be held at grave side at Memory Gardens at 10:00 am Saturday September 29, 2012.
