Paula has been a faithful servant of Jehovah since 1954 where she traveled to Monterrey, MX to get baptized since she missed her local convention due to pregnancy. She accompanied her husband Fabian in various assignments including preconvention assignments and serving in Robstown and Alice/San Diego Congregations and most recently in Paraiso Congregation where they made many lifelong friends. Paula easily made friends and will be dearly missed by many. Young and old looked up to her for advice taking into consideration her parental experience and wisdom. When she lived in Petronila, even though she was by herself for many years she would say she was not lonely as many of the friends would stop by throughout the day from near and far. When we would call her, she would ask us to call back as she wanted to visit with her friends. She always made sure to have something to drink and snack for her visitors. When she returned to live in Corpus and was not able to participate in preaching outside her home, she had a little literature stand on her front table to share with her visiting nurses and others to take home.
Polin loved many crafts including flower arranging but especially sewing until the last months of her life. Mostly she sewed to make gifts for the friends that would visit her at home and family. She had an outstanding memory and remembered who gave her what and when, and treasured every gift.
Jehovah has her in his book of memories now and we look forward to seeing her in paradise through Jehovah’s promise of resurrection (Isa 25:8). In lieu of flowers, donation to JW.org would be appreciated. www.jw.org
