Paulo A Rios
January 25, 1938 – December 4, 2020
Paulo A. Rios, age 82, passed away December 4, 2020. He was born on January 25, 1938 to Conrado and Magarita Rios in Odem, Texas. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended Miller High School. He married his wife Paula Zertuche of 61 years on August 16, 1959. Paulo was employed by several refineries and retired with Brand Scaffolding after 32 years as a foreman. Paulo was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and a good friend. Paulo enjoyed watching his Dallas Cowboys. Building his man cave along side with his grandson Luciano. He was a very hard working man that always used his hands to build anything and everything. He will always be remembered for his smile, laughter, sense of humor, calling his grandkids saying “get ready I’m on my way to pick you all up” (hooray we’re going with grandpa) and his devotion to his family. Paulo is preceded in death by his parents Conrado and Magarita Rios, sister Consuelo, brothers Hilario Sr. and Conrado Rios, Jr. and son-in-law Roy A. Stevens. His memories will be cherished by the love of his life Paula Z. Rios. Children: Rosemary (Santos) Mota, Rebecca (Augustine), Richard (Cynthia) and Raquel Rios. Sisters Frances (Jose) Rodriguez, Elvira Molina; brother Juan (Angelita) Rios. Six grandchildren: Ismael (Bianca), Anna Lisa (Matthew), Monika Rae (Barry), Luciano (Samantha), April Pauline (Adrian) and Reynaldo Jr. Seven great-grandchildren: Jessica Micole (Jeriko), Jonathan and Julianna Flores. Navah, Arianna, Ismael Jr., and Elijah Garcia and his favorite cousin Jose (Pepe) Solis and numerous nieces and nephews. Public visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Rd. Corpus Christi, TX 78415 with a rosary to be recited at 9:00 a.m. in the chapel. A funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church followed by interment at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Being little and respecting ( Dad ) this man for his stature going over to visit with My Sister Rachel Rios after school was a great feeling he and Mrs. Rios ( Mom ) respectably as I called her to me I never felt uncomfortable I was treated like a daughter and I was lucky to have known him and Mom and the Rios family... I will be PRAYING for Mom and the family he was an AWESOME man who loved everyone... MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL and Rachel I will be here if you ever need me... I LOVE YOU ALL... GOD BLESS YOU

To my Tia Paula and also my cousins, I wish to express my deepest condolences and sympathy. I remember Tio Paulo as a very kind and sweet man. He was always smiling and he was always by your side.
