Pedro was a great man of honor and loyalty. Throughout his entire life, he was devoted to his family and loved ones. He may be remembered by some as a quiet respectful man. But those who knew him well will always remember his, “POPO’s”, unselfish kind nature and witty sharp sense of humor.
Pedro retired as a truck driver after many years of dedication. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. He shared his love for spiritual and conjunto music with his children and grandchildren. Pedro was a self -taught accordion player and music composer.
During his recent illness, he spoke much about reuniting with the love of his life, Elvira, in heaven.
He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elvira V. Rodriguez; his parents, Sofia and Gregorio Garcia.
Pedro leaves his memories to be cherished by his children, Janie Ortiz, Maria (Reymundo) Garza, Rosie Ruiz, Emily (Armando) Maqueda and twins, Idalia (Larry) Bazan and Lupita Rodriguez (Felix) Reyes, and grandson, Vicente Vela who he raised as his own.
