Prajedes "Pete" Leal Sr.

March 18, 1959 - December 24, 2024

Our beloved Brother Prajedes "Pete" Leal Sr. 65, gained his wings and went to the Lord, on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. He was born March 18, 1959 to Reynaldo and Beatriz Leal in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Pete was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Patricia Montemayor; brother, Reynaldo Leal Jr.; sisters Rosaena Leal Longoria, and Caritina Leal Deleon; grandparents, Francisco and Caritina Leal, and Prajedes and Lina Pedraza; nephews, Ray Deleon, Riko Rodriguez, and Max Ruiz.

Pete is survived by his partner, Rosaura "Rosie" Casares; his children, Michael (Mary) Leal, Priscilla (Mathew) Gomez, Prajedes "Pete" Leal Jr., Katie Leal, and Josiah Leal; grandchildren, Mariah, Mya, Isabella Rose, Layla, Malia and Mathew; siblings, Arnold (Yolanda) Leal, Maria Estella Cordero, Amelia Balboa, Arnulfo (Maria) Leal, Israel (Irene) Leal, Evalinda (Richard) Rodriguez, Viola (Joe) Ochoa, Sam Rodriguez, Amelia Arizmendez, Roland (Doris) Rodriguez and Raymond (Jenny) Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Pete was a Disabled Veteran who serve in United States Army from 1977-1981. He was honorably discharged and was a true Patriot who served our Country Proudly. Pete worked for over 25 years in the automobile recycling business with Rays Auto Parts and ABC Auto and Truck Parts as manager and auto parts salesman. Pete enjoyed spending time with family and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Louie Leal, Eugene Deleon, Joe Henry Ochoa, Michael Leal, Josiah Leal, Prajedes "Pete" Leal and Gabriel Leal.

Visitation will be held at Memory Garden Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Wednesday, January 8, 2024 at 9:30 am. Burial with final military honors will follow at 11:00 am at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
