

Ralph Wallace (Wally) Butler was born on March 5, 1939 ascended to be united with his father Ralph Wallace Butler, Sr., his mother, Emma Lee Jones, and his step-father, Fred B. Jones. He passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011 in a local hospital.
Although he suffered from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, he was a survivor and continued enjoying his life traveling and RVing with a local RV Club. He enjoyed going to his second home at Lake Mathis. He shared his life with many friends, playing cards, and games, he will be missed.
Wally was a graduate of W.B. Ray High School, served in the Marines, and was owner of Southside Auto Parts Stores for twenty-one years. He retired from Arnold Oil Company.
Wally was a good and simple man who loved his family and made the most out of life. He will be remembered for his kindness and devotion to his family and in helping his friends.
Wally is survived by his wife, Geri, his son, Mark Butler of Dallas, Texas; his daughter, Laura Lynn (Neal) Stewart of Portland, Texas and step children, Eric Nolte and Susan Sawyer; two grandchildren, Kaci Sawyer and Cole Stewart; brother, Bruce Jones; sister, Patricia Jones, Phyllis (Tim) Burright, Carolyn (Steve) Trimble and numerous nieces and nephews and many loyal friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, 4901 Everhart Road. A memorial service in celebration of Wally’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2011 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors.
