

Ramon San Juan, a loving husband, dedicated father, grandfather, great grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 93 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Ramon was born in Savannah, Georgia, on December 15, 1929, and his legacy is one of love, service, and unwavering devotion.
Ramon's life was marked by a profound commitment to his family, his faith, and his country. He was married to the love of his life, Dorothy Stone San Juan, and their bond was an enduring testament to the power of love and companionship. Ramon's love for Dorothy was a beacon of light that guided him throughout his life.
Ramon proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard for 23 years, achieving the rank of Chief before retiring in August of 1969. His dedication to service extended beyond his military career, as he continued to serve his community as the Chief of Uniform Security at CCAD.
His faith in God was unwavering, and he was a devout member of the Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. His spirituality was a source of strength and solace for him, and he shared his faith with those around him.
Ramon was a man of many passions, but none greater than his love for family, football, playing his mandolin, and golf. He had an infectious enthusiasm for life and a warm smile that could light up a room. His love for the Washington Redskins and Notre Dame football teams was legendary, and he cherished the moments spent cheering for them with his loved ones. Ramon's love for playing his mandolin and serenading Dorothy and his family with his enchanting love songs, delivered in a deep vibrato voice that could soothe anyone's soul, often filled their home. Golf was another passion that allowed him to spend quality time with family and friends, creating lasting memories on the green.
Ramon San Juan is survived by his loving children, Carol Hawkins, Brenda (Arthur) Nasis, Steve Morgan, Donna (Keith) Butler, and Michael (Leona) Morgan, who will forever carry his legacy in their hearts. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, each one a testament to the love and joy he brought into their lives. Ramon also leaves behind his beloved brother, Bob San Juan, who will continue to carry on his memory.
Ramon's passing leaves a void in our lives that can never be filled, but his memory will forever remain a beacon of love and inspiration. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will continue to touch our hearts and remind us of the beautiful life he lived.
A Rosary is scheduled for the evening of September 14th, 2023, at 7:00 pm at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. On the following day, September 15th, 2023, a Funeral Mass to honor and celebrate Ramon's life will take place at 9:00 am at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas, followed by his burial at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 am. Friends and family are warmly invited to join together to reminisce and share cherished memories of this remarkable man.
