Ramona M. Morin Alvarez

She was born on May 17, 1938 in Edroy, Texas to the late Cruz and Tomasa Morin. Ramona was a loving and devoted, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, she will be missed dearly by all.

Ramona is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gilberto S. Alvarez; two sisters, Lydia Castro and Nora Evans; three brothers, Paul, Alonzo and Leonel Morin.

She leaves behind her family to cherish her memories, two daughters Gracie Morales (Raul) and Gloria Hoskins (Charles) of Corpus Christi, three sons, Gilbert Alvarez, Jr. (LeeAnne) of Killen, Texas, Donicio Alvarez and Carlos Alvarez (Toni) of Corpus Christi; six sisters, Tomasa Alonzo (Jesse), Estella Morin, Aurora Segura (Charlie), Virginia “Nena” Morin, Olivia Chavez all of Corpus Christi, and Rosa Houck of Eugene, Oregon; three brothers, Danny Morin (Mary), Cruz Morin, Jr. and David Morin (Josie) all Corpus Christi; then grandchildren, Robert Morales, Christina Morales, Elizabeth Morales, Carlos Matthew Alvarez, Victoria Ann Vela, Charlie Hoskins III, Jennifer Garcia, Janette Salas, Joshua Alvarez, Austin Alvarez and Ashley Walsh; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 7, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
