Ramona Cabrera

Ramona Cabrera, 81, passed away on September 20, 2015 in Robstown, Texas. She was born on March 26, 1934 in Sabinas Hidalgo, Mexico to Miguel Gallegos and Nicolasa Avalos de Gallegos. Ramona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Tia, sister and friend who will be dearly missed. She was the owner of Cabrera Bakery for over 50 years. Ramona is preceded in death by her loving husband Carlos “Charlie” Cabrera. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Charles (Irma) Cabrera, Manuel (Gloria) Cabrera, Margaret Cabrera, San Juana (Raul) Garcia and Alicia Cabrera; her 6 grandchildren, Carlos (Jennifer), Miguel, Angela (Craig), Marisa, Raul Carlos and Ramona Nicolasa; 6 great-grandchildren, Carlos, Felicity, Madelyn, Anthony Charles, Claire Annette and Lilianna Rose. She also leaves behind her 2 sisters, Virginia (Martin) Llano and Josefa (Marcelino) Bernal, sisters-in-law, Jesusa Cabrera (late Francisco) and Divina (Sam) Alvarez; brother-in-law Gilberto (Estella) Cabrera and extended family members and friends. Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Holy Rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in 204 Dunne Ave., Robstown, Texas with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. that same morning. Interment will follow at Robstown Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to granddaughter, Ramona Nicolasa Garcia, who spent countless hours caring for her.
