Ramona Kathy Estrada

Ramona lived a life full of joy, warmth, and unforgettable moments. Known for her bright smile, infectious laughter, and a heart as big as Texas, she welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and kindness that left a lasting impression.

She had many passions—she loved practicing yoga, capturing life’s beauty through photography, caring deeply for animals, and sharing her vibrant spirit on social media. A lifelong fan of Tejano music, she especially adored Joe Lopez, often dancing and singing along with joy. Butterflies brought her peace, and her favorite moments were those spent traveling with family, cooking treasured recipes, and giving the most thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts.

Ramona was preceded in passing by her beloved children, Gilbert Estrada and Sandra Estrada; her sister, Manuela Blanco; and her brother, Virgil Ramirez.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Joe R. Estrada; her children, Rose Mary & Rolando Anciso, and Joe V. & Rene Estrada; her cherished 13 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; and her loving siblings, Mary Lopez & Tomas Aguirre and Guadalupe Rodriguez.

Her legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A visitation for Ramona will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415 with a prayer service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A rite of committal and entombment will occur Monday, July 21, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
