Raquel S. Martinez

Raquel S. Martinez passed away on December 20, 2016 at the age of 82. She was born on October 29, 1934 in Odem, TX to the late Pablo and Paula Sanchez. She was a woman of faith that could move mountains and compassion that cured the broken hearted. She made sure she showed the love of God to everyone she met, as well as spreading the good news. She was a true soldier in the army of the Lord. She will be missed dearly. Raquel is preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Paula Sanchez; son, Eugenio Martinez; grandchildren, Jade and Seth Pisarski and great-grandson, Richard Anthony Martinez. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Henry Z. Martinez; children, Sylvia Davis, Enrique Martinez Jr. (Maria), Efrain Martinez (Alicia), Erasmo Martinez, Synthia Martinez, Rachel Pisarski (Eddie); 23 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Rd, on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 pm that same evening. Chapel services will be held at Funeraria del Angel Memorial Holly on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
