Raquel Rivera Parchinsky

She married George Parchinsky in May of 1959 in Corpus Christi. They met while George was in the Navy at the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi and Raquel was working on the base. Together, they moved to Alaska for many years before eventually retiring in Corpus Christi, Texas.

She is survived by brothers; Alberto Rivera, Patricio Rivera, Adan Rivera and sister; Delia Rivera as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by George Parchinsky, (husband), Sophia Rivera Bustamante Mann (sister), (Albert Rivera Jr (nephew), and Albert Rivera III, (nephew). Raquel worked at the Post Office and as a receptionist for Dr. Garcia, for years before she joined the United States Civil Service. She enjoyed traveling, the outdoors and spending time with her family.

A funeral is scheduled for January 15th at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Viewing will start at 12pm, Service at 1pm and Burial at 2pm. Pastor Raymond Gonzales will officiate the ceremony. The family requests that any donations be made to Primera Iglesia Bautista on Tarlton St. in Corpus Christi Texas.
