Rene De La Garza Aumada, 87 of San Antonio, Texas went to rest in the arms of the Lord, September 22, 2018, He was a U.S. Army Veteran in 1952. Rene enjoyed Fishing, Boxing, Bowling, John Wayne Cowboy Movies and enjoyed talking about his life experiences.
Rene was a Loving Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and Great Great-Grandfather. He is preceded in the death by his mother, Concepcion De La Garza and his oldest son Rene Aumada Jr; his former wife of 21 years, Janie Gordy and his loving wife of 35 years Raquel Silvas Aumada.
He is survived by his 11 children: Tino (Lisa) Aumada, Cisco Aumada, Ada Aumada Rodriguez, David Aumada, Max (Nelesa) Aumada, Alex (Esmer) Aumada, Eddie (Sally) Aumada, Johnny (Liz) Aumada, Debbie (Rick) Aumada, Rene S. (Sylvia) Aumada and Roel (Rose) Aumada. A total of 156 Grandchildren, Great- Grandchildren, and Great Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel – Memorial Holly Chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
