Renee went to be with the Lord surrounded by family on April 11, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 85. She was born on March 3, 1936 in Niort, France. Renee was predeceased by her parents Robert and Germaine Cardin; brother, Bernard; and older, sister Michelle. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 53 years, Brian Albrecht; her children, Donald, Marie (Steve), Melissa (Brian), Jean, and AnnMarie (David); grandchildren, Tina (Patrick), Megan (Josh), Christopher, Brittany (Michael), Emily, Katie, Jazlyn, Brian, and Madison; great-grandchildren, Madison, Marina, Jaxx, and Wyatt; her little sister, Claudie (Bernard); and a large loving family of in laws, nieces, nephews, and other relatives in France.
Renee, aka “Frenchy,” was a beloved, fiery red head, who enjoyed traveling, camping, playing cards, darts, slots, karaoke, and most of all cheerleading for all her grandkids. You could find her spending hours at kickball, baseball, football, volleyball, and basketball games. She would carry her folding chair from one sport to the other so that she would not miss those precious moments. She was all our biggest fan and greatest supporter.
Renee was called many things by those who loved her; Honey, Mom, Grandma, Nana, and NayNay. To those of you who had the privilege to call her any of these, she meant the love she gave each one of you as she loved deeply. She will be missed by all, but as you return to your daily routines just know she will always be in your hearts. Look up and smile and know that she is blowing kisses to you.
Renee was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, Nana, and friend. Her smile and kindness will be deeply missed.
