

Reta Albert passed away peacefully at Premier Memory Care, Alice, TX on May 23, 2022, at the age of 95. She was born on October 20, 1926, the daughter of Lawrence and Ida Van Dee. She grew up on a small farm in Iowa,
Reta was an educator and first taught at the age of 17 at a small country school in Iowa and married Lael (Bosty) Albert on August 25, 1946. In 1957 Reta, Bosty and the 5 children moved to Texas where she taught at St. Theresa Catholic School and Oak Park Elementary, both in Corpus Christi, TX. In 1988 she was voted Educator of the Year for CCISD PTA.
Reta was a woman of Faith, an active church member at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Corpus Christi and St. Francis of Assisi in Lagarto Texas as well as a member of the Altar and Rosay Society at both churches.
In her leisure time she played Bunco, Line Danced, Bowled and loved playing cards with her family.
Reta will be missed by many former students, friends, and family. She touched the lives of everyone she knew.
She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Bosty; a son Jackie Albert, 4 brothers and 2 sisters
She is survived by 4 children, Loren Albert, Tamra (Willie) Kemp, Mary Beth (Larry) Riley, Steve (Jill) Albert and daughter in law Sharon Albert.
Lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Pall Bearers will be her 8 grandsons, Darby Kemp, Kelly Kemp, Nathan Albert, Keith Albert, Brent Riley, Andrew Albert, Cory Albert, and Chris Albert
