Reynaldo T. "Rey" Garcia

Reynaldo (“Rey”) T. Garcia passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 17, 2015. He was 68. Born July 29, 1946 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He worked for Citgo Refinery for 27 years. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Mala Garcia and his children, Rae Frances Garcia (Johnny), Arnold Rodriguez (LaToya), April Rodriguez (Mark) Valerie Garcia, Anthony Rodriguez. He loved and adored his grandchildren, Chloe, Adrian, Markie, Aiden and Addyson; his siblings Dora Gomez (Joe), David Garcia (Irene), Irma Aleman, Robert Garcia (Maria), Lionel Garcia (Stella), Mary Alice Pedregon and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugenio and Mercedes Garcia, one sister and six brothers. Special thanks to Altus Hospice who cared for him in his final days, especially Debbie Pulido. The family would also like to thank Dr. Robert E. Caro and Dr. Amanda R. Caro for all their love, support and care that they provided Rey. Services will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Funeraria del Angel - Memorial Holly with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Perez III, Jerry Dalton, David Garcia Jr., Jeremy Garcia, Gabriel Gomez, and Paul Caudillo.
