

Reynaldo “Ray” R. Gonzales, 79, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on June 30, 2016. He was born in Corpus Christi on October 5, 1936 to Eva and Brijido Gonzales. He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1955.
In 1956 he enlisted in the US Army and proudly served his country for two years during the Korean Conflict.
He was married to Helen Gonzales on August 18, 2012.
He was employed by the US Postal Service as a carrier in 1968 and retired in 2000 after 30+ years of service and received many commendations during his tenure.
In 1991 he was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame.
He was one of the founders of Club 50 in 1992 and served as sponsor and photographer until the time of his death.
His hobbies included: playing on the Semi-Pro Baseball team during his time in the army; Manager of the Postal Softball Team and coaching area little league teams.
He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife, Helen Gonzales; one sister, Viola (Joe) Bustamante; children, Mark (Kristina) Gonzales, Gera (Joe) Hasette, Steve (Alana) Gonzales, and Jimmy (Nelda) Dyer. He is survived by 10 grandchildren; Danielle, Katherine and Kyle Gonzales, Joe (Lorena), Nicholas (Mikaela) and Matthew Hasette, Richard and Sophia Gonzales, Jimmy (Cris) and Dana Dyer and 2 great-grandchildren; Hailey Dyer and Levi Hasette.
A viewing will be held from 5pm-9pm, with a Rosary Starting at 7pm, July 4, 2016 at Memory Gardens in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am, July 5, 2016 also at Memory Gardens.
