Reynato Barrera Sr.

He was born on April 2, 1928 in Roma, Texas to the late Casimiro and Ramona Barrera.

Rey was co-owner of Rey's Import Services for many years with his son, Rey Jr., who has preceded him in death.

Rey was a family man, who loved the company of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a devoted husband and father who left a legacy behind to those who loved him. We love you dad, you will be missed by all of us.

Rey is preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Reynato Ulyses Jr. and Jorge Luis Barrera.

He leaves behind his family to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 62 years Evangelica H. Barrera; his sons and daughters, Mirella Barrera (Senovio); Juan Barrera (Diana), Mario Barrera (Sandra) and Miriam Hinojosa (Cesar); twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Arsenio Barrera and Nereida Perez; daughter-in-law, Maria Barrera.

Special thanks to all the staff at the Telemetry floor at The Heart Hospital, also Angel Bright Hospice who provided special care and emotional support to Rey and our family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
