Richard was so fun and knowledgeable. The broadcast industry as a whole will feel a void that no one can fill. Richard also went out of his way to help the amateur radio community. He was a super special person. I had only know him for a few years but always looked forward to working with him. He always talked about his family but it was just a few days ago that I learned we have known Sarah for many many years. Our hearts break with her and the boys. May God's peace that passes all understanding be with you.

Sarah, my deepest condolences to you and your entire family during this time of sorrow. My memories of Richard are so many. I spent many a day or night working at a transmitter or studio site with him. I grew to appreciate his deep knowledge of this industry we call broadcasting. For me personally, I will always remember those times he would joke around. It would make the day go by a little quicker, and let you know that he enjoyed life as much as his profession. I will miss those times and that hearty laugh that could fill a room. Vaya Con Dios Richard.

Sarah, my heart is broken with your loss of Richard. May God Bless and guide you through this maze of grief. May He lay his hands on your sons, giving them understanding beyond their years with His comfort. Know I pray for your family daily. From the pictures shared on Facebook you and Richard shared many memories as young adults before marriage. Such a wonderful legacy of stories to pass on to your children.
Love and warm hugs
Leanna Lawrence.
