Richard Louis Fredrickson Jr.

Richard was born on May 11, 1959, in Houston, Texas, to Richard Louis Fredrickson Sr. and Frances Fredrickson. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, veteran, and public servant, Richard lived a life defined by courage, dedication, and love for his family.

At the age of 17, Richard answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy. Following his military service, he dedicated 28 years to serving his community as a firefighter and paramedic with the Corpus Christi Fire Department. Through his work, Richard touched countless lives, providing help, comfort, and protection to those in need. His commitment to service and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Richard shared 38 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Bilenda Fredrickson, whose love and partnership were the foundation of their family.

He was a proud and loving father to Patrick (Emily) Fredrickson, Ashley (Kevin) Thomas, Kathryn (Daniel) Tovar, Sarah (Cornelious Jr.) Lucio, and Richard Louis Fredrickson III. Nothing brought him greater joy than watching his family grow and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Richard was the cherished papa of Nattalie, CJ, Cason, Khali, Damian, Alejandra, Evelyn, Khloe, Jasmine, King, Kenzie, Ethan, Daniel, and Jose, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

He is also survived by his parents, Richard Louis Fredrickson Sr. and Frances Fredrickson; his sisters, Nikki (Calvin) Null and Kelli (Shane) Gindrup; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Beyond his service and family life, Richard had a passion for riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles, playing guitar, and playing games on his iPad. Whether cruising down the open road, strumming his favorite songs, or spending time with those he loved, he found joy in life's simple pleasures. He also cherished spending time with his animals, finding companionship, comfort, and joy in their company.

Richard will be remembered for his strength, his sense of humor, his unwavering dedication to others, and the love he shared with family and friends. His legacy of service, compassion, and devotion to family will live on in the many lives he touched.
