Chris attended WB Ray High School and joined the US Navy before graduation. He was stationed in Bahrain, on a minesweeper in the Persian Gulf. He was then stationed at Naval Station Ingleside, where he was Honorably Discharged.
In 2010, his cousin Sabrina, needed a kidney donor. Chris got tested and was a match. They became “Kidney Cousins” from then on. Chris was a registered organ donor. He wanted to share his life so that others can live a normal life.
He loved to sing and dance to all types of music. He loved working on electronics. He enjoyed being “silly” and making people laugh. He loved being around people and would lend a hand when asked. Chris spent most of his time with his children & family, whether it be at the beach or at a backyard BBQ. He will be loved and missed by everyone who knew him.
Chris is survived by his wife, Alison Garcia Medina of Corpus Christi TX, Children: Raymond (Anissa) Medina of Odessa TX, Isaac, Antonio, Thaddeaus Medina, Destiny Garcia and Austin Garcia (Cerina), all of Corpus Christi TX, his mother, Margaret Medina of Corpus Christi TX. Sisters: Michele Medina and MaryAnn Medina, both of Corpus Christi TX and his brother, Manuel Medina of San Marcos TX. Granddaughters:
Lilith Garcia of Corpus Christi TX and Eden Vee Medina of Odessa TX. Nieces and Nephews: Jonathan Bibb, Adrianna Bibb, Santos Martinez IV, Isabella Katia Medina, all of Corpus Christi TX. His great-nephews, Kol Fritz, Jay Bibb and Reign Ramirez.
Chris is also survived by his Aunts and Uncles: Rose Hernandez, Patsy (Humberto) Barbosa and David Medina, all of Corpus Christi TX., Isabel Martinez of Flatonia TX, Frances Jalomo of Missouri City TX, Juanita Benson of Spring TX, Raymond (Lora) Martinez of Corpus Christi TX, Luis (Mary) Martinez Jr of Pasadena TX, Luciano (Isabel) Martinez of Flatonia TX, Richard (Angie) De La Rosa of Richmond TX. Numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Medina; His Beloved, Wendy Stamm; paternal grandparents, Ramon Jr and Isabel Medina; maternal grandparents, Luis S & Olivia Martinez.
A Celebration of Chris’ life will be held November 18, 2022 at Kelsey Memorial United Methodist Church, 1610 Comanche St, Corpus Christi TX 78401. Family will be receiving friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service begins at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at The Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH-37, Corpus Christi TX 78410.
