Rita Lord Smith

Rita spent many years as a volunteer for different organizations and Metro Ministries. She was the most selfless person to others and would always do anything for everyone. Rita was an instructor for Defensive Driving and was a faithful member of Brighton Park Baptist Church for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Jeanette Lord; and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel D. Smith; children, Christine Busse (Dan), Bob Lavalle (Tina); seven grandchildren; and her pet dog companion, Frou Frou.

The family would like to extend a Special Thanks to Dr. Orel Everett and Staff, Gentiva Hospice; her close friends and neighbors that lived on Bodega Bay Dr.; and her family and friends from Brighton Park Baptist Church.

A Memorial Service will be held at Brighton Park Baptist Church on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
